たぬきの山には、美味しいくだものを扱う「たぬき商店」が ある。そこには狐たちがたぬきに化けて買い物に訪れて、 中には偽コインを使って安く買い物をしようとする狡猾な 狐もいるという。一方で商店の警備を担当するたぬきは、 偽コインを見破って自分の功績とするのが仕事だ。

In the Tanuki Mountain, there is a "Tanuki Shop" that sells delicious fruit. Foxes disguised as tanuki come to shop there, and some cunning ones even try to use fake coins to get a bargain. On the other hand, the tanuki in charge of security at the shop have the job of spotting counterfeit coins and claiming credit for catching the tricksters.
