Game Background
Humanity possesses two core skills: organizing to create civilization, and organizing to destroy it. Throughout the long cycles of history, humans have continuously forged great civilizational achievements—ideas, technologies, arts, and systems—only to tear them down again through greed, war, turmoil, and prejudice. Cultural relics are not mere "objects"; they are evidence left by time and vital clues for humanity to reflect upon its own origins. Relics are never static exhibits; they are signals of civilization, strictly encrypted by time.
Guarding the Relics: Ancient Chinese History in the National Museum of China selects 32 artifacts from the collection of the National Museum of China. Hailing from various historical periods, they carry the experiences and wisdom of different stages of civilization. This game simulates more than just the act of "returning items to their places"; it represents the process of humanity attempting to rebuild order and meaning amidst loss and confusion.
In the game, you can play as a Guardian—you must make judgments between profit, risk, and faith. You will need to persuade collectors lost in their desire for possession and remain vigilant against Saboteurs attempting to erase historical footprints. Alternatively, you may choose to challenge yourself by becoming an aloof Collector or a Saboteur who disrupts this parallel world.
This is not just a game of strategy and confrontation, but a crucible for rediscovering civilization. It is not merely a voyage home through time and space, but a battle against oblivion.
